FROZEN WARRIORS
2016–2018
Photography
A photographic work on labour, endurance, cold, and the temporary architecture of the snow building.
Frozen Warriors follows the builders of snow and ice structures in northern Finland, where architecture is shaped through cold, machinery, repetition, and physical endurance. Created between 2016 and 2018, the work looks beyond the finished winter monuments, focusing on the labour and exhaustion behind temporary forms that are built to vanish with spring.
